As communication is a key element in shaping, fostering and realising change, but also in mobilising the youth for a common cause - we are happy to welcome our new Communications Manager – Nora Hattar!
Nora has recently finished her bachelor’s degree in human rights from Lund University in Sweden. She also holds a diploma in events management from APM College of Business and Communications in Sydney. With a big passion for global sustainability and especially sustainable production and consumption related to human rights, the environment, and the economy, she strives to highlight this topic in everything that she does.
“My interest in sustainability, corporate social responsibility and especially sustainable production and consumption started in the first half of my bachelor’s degree on human rights. Since then, I have been deep diving into this subject and I am deeply passionate about sharing my knowledge in this field.”
Nora has experience from working with youth engagement both professionally and as a volunteer within the civil society. She strongly believes in empowering the youth to make a change and collaborating between international borders. Nora is well travelled and has a wide understanding for different cultures, which she will be bringing with her in her role as the Communications Manager. For her, communicating about sustainability on an international arena is a priority in order to realise Agenda 2030.
“Sustainability should not be, and is not hard, and having a sustainable lifestyle isn’t either. The problem is just that there is a big lack of information about how to do this and how individuals can contribute to global sustainability. That is why I am excited to take on this role as Communications Manager at ReGeneration 2030. I look forward to being part of a productive, young and engaged team and to work with like-minded people who strives to make sustainable production and consumption and a circular economy the new norm!”
Nora will in the role as the Communications Manager oversee the internal and external communication for ReGeneration 2030, as well as creating a documentary series about sustainability, and help realising the ReGeneration Week and other ongoing projects.
We are at the moment looking to expand our communications team with more volunteers. Are you a skilled writer, content creator, video maker or storyteller with a passion for sustainability? Hit us up! You would be working in a young, international and dynamic team who is together working towards the same goal. If you’re interested or have further questions, don’t hesitate to contact our new Communications Manager Nora.
ReGeneration 2030 is also looking for a communications intern who is fluent in swedish and english to join our team for 10 weeks during the spring of 2021. Is that you, or do you know someone who might be a good fit? Let us know! Contact details are listed below.
