What is expected from a board member?
The board is at the strategic heart of the foundation. The primary responsibility of the board and its members is to ensure that the activities are conducted in accordance with the foundation's purpose. The board's ongoing, annual areas of responsibility include:
organize the Summit (now called the ReGeneration Week)
elect the Secretary-General
make strategic decisions such as projects and partnerships
establish a budget and annual plan
elect auditors
prepare an annual report and financial statements.
The board members are expected to focus on the foundation's strategic functioning, however, some operational work tasks come with the position.
We are accepting applications for the following roles:
Chairperson
Vice-chairperson
Treasurer
Secretary
Head of communication
Partners coordinator / external relations
Volunteer coordinator
General board member
The board will be elected at the ReGeneration Week (August 28-31, 2021). Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years of age at the time of election. If you meet this requirement, are committed to sustainability, passionate about shaping a strong youth movement, and able to think strategically, consider applying and joining ReGeneration 2030. Previous board experience and knowledge of how NGOs operate is beneficial but not mandatory.
*Note that if you are below 18 years old, you are eligible to apply as an observer to the board of the ReGeneration 2030 Foundation.
